Playboy in Second Life 13

Has been a busy time so far in RL, so don't log into Second Life long enough to explore, just clear the backlog of my group notices and park my avatar in the Bigpond sim.

The Bigpond sim has developed into a great place with lots of activities and unique spaces all worth exploring.

Have been learning to use Maya 3D and modding the Unreal tournament 3 game levels.

Built a basic level as an art gallery and filled the walls with my fractal art, made a large canvas that can be shot at to create an art work, just black on white so far but if possible, will make coloured ammo.

My other online community activity is on Facebook ( isn't  just about everybody) and Vivaty but that is another story for later on.

Playboy In Second Life, 12

It has been a long while since my last blog, have been so busy in real life with the art exhibition.

Was fortunate to have one of my friends, Stan Florek exhibit a couple of his unique paintings along side the prints of my Fractal Art.

Stan is also the curator and liaison person for the Blacktown Artists Network group I belong to, that has an ongoing exhibition space at the Bistro 44  (Blacktown).

Members of BAN take turns at exhibiting for six weeks or so depending on how many artworks are ready for showing.

This art is best presented on Hi res monitors, the photo paper prints from my HP printer were reasonably good.

Fortunately the Xmas thingy extended our show till mid January, unfortunately the economic situation coincided with this so no sales were made as yet, but we did have a good review with a few inquiries.

Back in SL I had a look at what other artists were doing with Fractal Art and was pleased that the artworks were nothing like my endeavors.

Logged in to have a quick look at the Xmas themes in Sl, the creativity was again inspiring, lots of everything Xmasy with ice skating etc.

Just had a thought as I was writing this, I forgot to have a look for a snow boarding or skiing sim to review..  next time.

It has been a very long time since I got back into SL, real life has been a bit hectic getting ready for the next art exhibition.

Have been looking around the Big Pond sim and it has a lot of things that could keep one amused for a very long time.

Had a nice barby with a pleasant group of avatars, the girls dancing around with those evocative moves, makes a playboy happy, the conversation was as usual, fun and interesting.

Visited the Pondi Beach and had a tour by ballon, had a look around the mall and ended up relaxing on a beach chair.

Have been taking photos now and will post them up soon.

playboy in SL 10

Got back into SL after a couple of weeks doing the art video editing thing, have a short video clip on my own 3d page.
Went for a search to find some interesting art sims and found a great Egiptian themed sim called "Laurel Arts Isle 2008,241, 21".
Impressive to say the least, the buildings are replicas of Egyptian temples complete with stone carvings, wall paintings and artifacts one would expect from an Egyptian style sim, even an elephant and a few camels, oh and lots of sand, heaps of sand.
It has a few live music venues, maybe a bit out of character was the blues music playing in the backround but then this is a sim after all.
The guitar shop was an interesting place, looked like a shrine to a god of sorts but then who am I to judge, at one time, I have been known to venerate my guitar above all else, it's just a phase you go through when you get into that rock music.
One piece of sculpture that impressed me was a huge affair, three differnt figures, arms outstreched to form an open roof wih an open  fire place in the middle of the floor space.
The figures resembled Myan mythalogical creatures and were posed in a dance form.
Drawing the parallel I realised that there were no pyramids so went looking but found a little gallery with the obligatory scantily clad large breasted female study with a couple of landscapes and inerpretative paintings to fill out the walls.
Ran out of time so went to rasta beach to park the avatar till next visit.
